Anika Noni is an American actress and singer. Most famous is her role as Tiana as the Princess, and"the Frog's African-American Princess. She was recognised as one of the Disney Legend. Rose played Lorrell Robinson, her character in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni rose (born on the 6th of September 1973) is an American actor and vocalist. She is best known for the role in the role of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the first African American Disney Princess. The film was named a Disney Legend in 2011. The actress is also famous for her starring role as Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar Award-winning movie Dreamgirls (2006) and for her role as LaVerne Jukebox Ganner as part of the Starz program Power. Her performance in the theater are well-known as well, especially her performances as Emmie Thbodeaux and as the character in the Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) which won her the Tony Award Best Featured actress in the musical. She was also nominated for her nomination for Tony Award Best Featured actor in a play for the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
